I use mushrooms in a couple of different recipes. How is it that they keep raising the prices for these things!? I found this bag on clearance, 10 oz for $1.49. They are normally $3/lb. There were more, but to stay in budget, I only got one. But, I really wanted to buy more.
I individually diced each one, place in pan to saute & simmer, adding water as needed, and a touch of garlic salt.
Adding plenty of water, I portion the mushrooms and water into 1/4 cup freezer bags.
Out of this one bag, I got 10 bags, yielding $.14/bag.
